Gilbert Joseph Felarise

Gilbert Felarise, 90, a native and resident of Golden Meadow, passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, Golden Meadow, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his son, Wayne Felarise Sr. (Adele); daughters, Rose Plaisance (Wayne Sr.) and Sandy Duet (Brad); grandchildren, Michael Felarise, Jr. (Jennifer), Lacey Messer (Chase), Wayne Felarise Jr. (Abby), Ramsey Felarise (Beth), Wayne Plaisance Jr. (companion, Logan), Ridge Felarise (Catherine), Raven Duet (companion, Aaron), Megan Tondreau (Thomas) and Addy Duet (companion, Jimmy Paul) and 22 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Enola Felarise; son, Michael Felarise Sr.; parents, Fernand and Elena Felarise; brothers, Ezeman, Norman and Jimmy Felarise; sisters, Enola Guidry, Belle Cheramie, Bee Guidry, Mae Bergeron and great grandson, Rage Felarise.
Gilbert was a member of the Green Head Club. He enjoyed cooking for his family, fishing and hunting.
The family would like to thank Hospice of South Louisiana, especially Julie Dubois and Renee Short.
