Geraldine Cheramie

Geraldine P. Cheramie, 65, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Cut Off, passed away Jan. 1, 2013.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial in Cheramie Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Donald "Bason" Cheramie Sr.; son, Donald Cheramie Jr,; daughters, Lisa Cheramie and Dawn Rockwell and companion, Mike Rockwell; grandchildren, Teka Lafont, Heather Billiot, Jovi Billiot, and Michael Rockwell Jr.; great-grandchildren, Madison Billiot and Kourtney Lafont; brother, Ricky Plaisance; and sisters, Barbara Cheramie, Gloria Plaisance, Mary Bruce, Gail Serigny and Linda Billiot.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Forest and Pearly Bouffanie Plaisance.
She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and going to the casino. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary No. 315.
