Geraldine Muller Champagne

Geraldine “Geri” Muller Champagne passed away peacefully on January 5, 2024 at the age of 91.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Hahnville, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with burial to follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Luling, LA.
She was the beloved wife of the late Sidney “Pete” Champagne and devoted mother to Tami Champagne Roussel (John L.) and the late Lonnie Champagne (Diane). Geraldine was the loving grandmother of Blair Roussel and Kristi Champagne Priola (Johnny). She was the doting great- grandmother of Hallie Priola and was anxiously awaiting the birth of baby Priola in May.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rosema Sarrah Muller and Alfred E. Muller, twin brother, Jerry Muller, brothers, Edmond, Ernest, Rene, Richard, and Donald; sisters, Corrine Muller Guillot, Mary Muller Ockman, and Maria Muller Champagne.
Geraldine was a native of Killona, LA and resided in Hahnville, LA. On January 6, 2006, she moved to The Homestead Assisted Living in Houma, LA, where she happily lived until her death.
She was very outgoing and loved her family and friends. She was lovingly referred to as The Homestead greeter and mayor. She enjoyed playing BINGO daily, especially when she was the winner.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of The Homestead Assisted Living for their unconditional love and exceptional care over the past 18 years. Special thanks to Terrebonne Homecare and Haydel Memorial Hospice for their wonderful care.
