Gerald "Jay" Guidry, 78, a native and resident of Galliano, died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial in Cheramie Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley Landry Guidry; daughters, Shelly G. Cheramie and husband, Allen, Pam G. Doucet and husband, Wayne, Deborah G. Gautreaux and husband, Terry, and Jenny G. Jarreau and husband, Mike; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchidren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harris and Elmire Cheramie Guidry; brothers, Raleigh "Brod" Guidry and Horace "T-Nu" Guidry; sister, Geraldine Guidry Johnson; and one granddaughter.
Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano is in charge of arrangements.
