George Paul Roussel Jr.

George Paul Roussel, Jr., was born in Edgard, LA on July 21, 1932 and passed away on October 25, 2023. He was a resident of Luling, LA for the past 68 years.
He was married to the late Faith Champagne Roussel for 66 years. Loving father of George III (Angie), John L. (Tami), Neal (Jeanene), and Scott (Donna). Grandfather of Dustin (Heather), Lani Fonseca (Brad), Blair, Jordan (Amanda), Logan (Jessica), Hudson, and Morgan (Elizabeth). Great grandfather of Vivian Roussel, Averi and Ellie Fonseca, Trent and Ava Roussel.
George is also survived by his siblings, Margaret Roussel Faucheux, Ronald Roussel, Beryl Roussel Faucheux (Woody), Carroll Roussel (Meryl), Linda Roussel Lacombe, and Maryann Roussel Updegraff (Ross).
Preceded in death by his parents, George P. Roussel, Sr. and Josephine Berthelot Roussel, brother, Earl Roussel and sister, Katherine Roussel Hartdegen.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Monday, October 30, 2023 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Luling, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with burial to follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Luling, LA.
George retired from Monsanto Chemical Company where he was a dedicated employee for 32 years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a founding member of Grand Ridge Country Club, formerly Willowdale Country Club. George was a member of the Knights of Columbus, American Legion and VFW. He was an avid golfer, gardener, and his greatest joy was spending time with his family. He was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church.
