George Wayne Broussard Sr.

George Wayne Broussard, Sr., 79, a native of Houma and lifelong resident of Lockport, passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2018.
Visitation will be from 8:30 am until 11:00 am on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Holy Savior Catholic Church, Lockport, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Saturday with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Thibodaux, LA.
He is survived by his wife, Dionysia Broussard; sons, George Wayne Broussard, Jr. (Dana), David Allen Broussard (Susan), Gerard Thomas Broussard (Lisa); grandchildren, Margaret (Chad), Madeline (Ben), Meredith (Alex), Sydney, Elise, Jeweleanne and Jackson; great grandchildren, Therese, Evelyn and Eleanor; brothers, St. Elmo Earl Broussard, Jr., Glenn Gregory Broussard, Blair Michael Broussard and sisters, Virgie Marie Broussard and Marilyn Ann Gesser.
He was preceded in death by his parents, St. Elmo Broussard, Sr. and Virgie Rome Broussard and sister, Kathleen Agnes Daigle.
George was a retired teacher, former member of the North Lafourche Levee District, member of the Knights of Columbus, on the financial council at Holy Savior. He loved his family, fishing and woodworking.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
