George A. Bouzigard

George Bouzigard, 92 years old, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 5:15 a.m. He was a native of Golden Meadow, LA, a resident of Larose, LA for 50 years and a resident of Hammond, LA for the last 3 years.

George served his country in the Army in the early 1950’s and was then employed at Lafourche Telephone Company for 31 years as an accountant.

Visitation will be held at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church on Saturday, January 13th from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

George is survived by his wife of 52 years, Beverly Prosperie Bouzigard; sister, Gloria Bouzigard; son, Ronnie (Darlene) St. Pierre; grandchildren, Craig (Michelle) St. Pierre, and Heather (Jeremy) Morgan; great-grandchildren, Cali, Baily, Emmie, Aiden, Charly, William, and Rebecca.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Evelyn Martin Bouzigard and Duvic Bouzigard; brother, Duvic Bouzigard, Jr.

George was known by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren as Poppee. Poppee loved his family and his family loved him dearly. He will be greatly missed.

George was a landscaper, collector, and had a love for birds and raising animals.
