Genevieve "Jenny" Degruise Ganci

Genevieve "Jenny" Degruise Ganci, 94, a native of St. Charles Community and resident of Raceland passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2020.
Visitation will be held at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland on Wednesday, May 27th from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in St. Charles Community.
She is survived by her nieces, Audrey G. Fournier, Betty G. Breaux, Santa L. Coleman, Delores Maggio, Debbie Shiplett and Charlene Gaynet; nephews, Earl Guidry, Ellis Guidry and Frank Labarba.
She was preceded in death by her husband Sam Ganci; parents, Gustave and Azilda Breaux Degruise; sisters, Alouise Degruise Guidry and Audrey Degruise; brother, Vincent Degruise; brother-in-law, Ellis Guidry; sisters-in-law, Lilly Labarba Couch and Mary Floyd; niece, Mary Ann Schmitt; nephew, Johnny Guidry.
She moved from New Orleans to Raceland to be near her family.
