Genevieve Fanguy Cologne

Genevieve Fanguy Cologne, 86, a native of Des Allemands and a resident of Raceland, passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2021.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at St. Gertrude Catholic Church, Des Allemands, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Clifton “Dago” Cologne; children, Marilyn Bush (fiancé Doc), Dona Chatagnier, Nicole Thibodaux (Larry) and Keith Cologne Sr. (Debbie); daughter-in-law, Jennifer Cologne; 11 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carolyn Comardelle; son, David Cologne Sr.; grandchildren, Tatum Comardelle, Kylie Dufrene and David Cologne Jr.; son-in-law, Gerald Chatagnier; parents, James Sr. and Sadie Fanguy; brother, James Fanguy Jr. and sisters, Mary Jane Chauvin, Jeanette Cologne and Martha Eusea.
Genevieve was a religion teacher at St. Gertrude for 40 years and a member of the St. Gertrude Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed Pokeno. She loved being with family and friends and will be missed.
