Gayle “Granny, Aunt Gee Gee” M. Brister, 66, a native and resident of Galliano, LA passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2020.
A visitation will be held at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano on Tuesday, June 2nd, 2020 from 10:00 am until service time. Services will be held in the funeral parlor beginning at 12 noon with cremation following.
Mrs. Gayle is survived by her husband of 50 years Billy Brister; children, Cherita Brister, Lacy Nelson, Cody Brister, Diondra Jelks Jr., Tatyana Brister, Daysha Brister, and Tyresse Brister; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
Mrs. Brister was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Cherita Chouest, and mother Anna Callais.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to offset funeral expenses.
She loved everybody, and would feed anyone she could. She loved to have her home full and would take care of anyone that needed help, a meal, a bed, anything she could do to help. She enjoyed telling anyone that would listen to her stories and they all made you laugh.
