Gary Antoine Dufrene

Gary A. Dufrene, 77, a native and resident of Gheens, LA, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2023.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Friday, November 17, 2023 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Gheens, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with burial to follow in Holy Savior Cemetery, Lockport, LA.
He is survived by his wife, Margie M. Dufrene; sisters, Gale Bordlee and Sally Griffin.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mitsy Dufrene; parents, Esward and Gloria Dufrene and sister, Sandra Billiot.
Gary was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War; member of the American Legion and VFW. He enjoyed fishing, drag racing and the Astros.
Special thanks to the staff of Ochsner St. Anne Hospital and Dr. Nawaz, Dr. Wolford and Dr. Buffin for their excellent care and compassion.
