Gary Joseph Duet, 71, a native of Grand Isle and a resident of Lafayette, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2017.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Cut Off, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 pm Wednesday with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Dianne Moncada Duet; son, Chuck Duet; daughter, Hope Granger (Roland "Toby"); grandchildren, Reid and Claire Granger and brothers, Brent Duet (Jennifer) and Kenneth Duet.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oris and Nolia Boudreaux Duet and brother, Greg Duet.
Gary was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the Louisiana Taxidermy Association and he was the owner of Superior Shipyard.
