Gary J. Doucet, 64, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of St. Charles Parish, passed away at 7:36 a.m. Friday, Oct. 14, 2011 at his residence.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Falgout Funeral Home, 3838 Hwy. 1 in Raceland and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Paradis. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with interment in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Patsy Welch Doucet; two sons, Garrett John Doucet and wife, Katheryn, and Patrick James Doucet and wife, Lacey; four grandchildren, Kyle Patrick, Haley-Kate Angelle, Ava Claire, and Cooper Paul Doucet; and one brother, Eddie T. Doucet.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ocean J. Doucet and Loretta Angelette Doucet.
Gary was a Knights of Columbus 4th degree for 36 years, LIFA member for 20 years, Usher, Eucharistic Minister, Lecturer and Religious Educator at Holy Family, St. Gertrude and St. John Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Hahnville Lions Club for 11 years.
