Gale C. Cole, 84 a resident of Houma and a native of Sugartown, passed away at 10:55 am. on Tuesday, June 5, 2012.
Visitation will be held from 8 am. until service time on Friday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am. on Friday at the church with burial to follow at Terrebonne Memorial Park.
He is survived by his wife, Versa Fesi Cole, son T. Jay Cole and wife Diana Portier Cole, daughters Robin C. Henderson and husband Anthony, Colleen C. Marmillion and husband Steve, Lorrie C. Braus and husband Ellis; granddaughters, Aimee' Braus, Dr. Abby Cefalu and husband Dr. William Cefalu, Nicole and Symone Marmillion, Anne-Marie, Elaina, and Hanna Cole, and great granddaughter, Ellis Cefalu.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harley and Allie Wellman Cole, brothers, Alton, Maurice, Ralph, Roger, Wayen, and Kirby Cole, and sister, Nellie C. McFatter.
He was a retired employee of 35 years for N.L McCullough. He was in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. The family would like to thank Terrebonne Homecare, Journey Hospice, Jill Walker, and Rev. Todd. Donations to the St. Bernadette Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
