Frederick "Freddie" Pierce Jr., 61, a resident of Lockport, was entrusted into God's Loving Care on Saturday, July 9, 2011.
A memorial visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 to 9:40 a.m. Thursday at Falgout Funeral Home in Lockport. Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport, with interment in the church mausoleum.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Jaynel Theriot Pierce; his parents, Frederick Pierce Sr. and Betty Punch Pierce; three sons, Glenn Pierce and wife, Pamela Bourgeois Pierce, Mike Pierce and wife, Terrie Edward Pierce, and Benjamin Pierce and wife, Luvy Thomassie Pierce; one daughter, Lacey Pierce Baudoin and husband, Beau; two stepdaughters, Kristie Breaux Gonzales and husband, Robi, and Lacey Rodrigue Gill and husband, Eric; her sisters, Paulette Pierce Pertuit, Mary Pierce Gaudet, Linda Pierce Eschete, Jenny Pierce Melancon and Melvin, Mitzi Pierce Cranshaw and Charles, and Michelle Pierce; and nine grandchildren, Camron, Brett, Kelsey, Benton, Holden, Justin, Landon, Isabel and Wes.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Keller Pierce; one brother, Michael Pierce; and one sister, Susan Pierce Robichaux.
Freddie earnestly enjoyed the trucking business, he loved life and loved to cook. He was known for his specialty, rotisserie pigs. He loved people and never met a stranger.
The pallbearer will be Benjamin Pierce.
