Chief Freddy F. Guidry Jr, 70, a native and resident of Cut Off passed away on June 30, 2017. A visitation will be held at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano on July 4, 2017 from 5 pm until 9 pm and on July 5, 2017 from 8 am until 10 am with a Fireman's Procession to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for Mass at 11 am with burial following in the Church Cemetery.

Mr. Freddy is survived by his wife of 46 years, Charlotte Lasseigne Guidry, son; Simon Guidry wife Stephanie, daughters; Tracy Angelette husband Neil, and Sandy Guidry, grandchildren; Garrett, Peyton wife Hannah, and Luke Guidry, Natalie, Nicholas, and Mark Angelette, and great grand-daughters; Brooklynn and Rowan Guidry.

Mr. Freddy was preceded in death by his parents Freddy F. Guidry Sr. and Rosemary Guidry.

He served Lafourche Parish Fire District 3 for 23 years, 17 of those years as Fire Chief and was a paramedic for the Lafourche Parish Ambulance District 1 for 25 years. He was a rock hound, a traveler who enjoyed cruising and going to his camp, "My Blue Heaven", being the fish whisperer, but mostly telling stories over and over about his adventures . He was a mentor and teacher, Army veteran, Eagle Scout, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather whose proudest treasure was his friends and family.
