Freddie "Uncle Joe" J. Badeaux, 93, a native Larose and resident of Cut Off passed away Nov. 7th, 2015. Visitation will take place at Falgout Funeral Homes of Galliano on Nov. 11th, 2015 from 5:00 pm till 9:00 pm and on Nov. 12 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano from 9:00 am till service time. Military Honors will be performed at the church at 10:00 am with a Funeral Mass beginning at 11:00 am with burial following in Cheramie Cemetery.
Mr. Freddie is survived by his wife of 63 years Gladys Terrebonne Badeaux, daughter Suzette B. Hunter husband Wayne, grandchildren Raven P. Hunter husband Caleb, and Jacob Hunter wife Amanda, great grandchildren Caden, Kael, Piper, and Koda Hunter, brother Howard Badeaux, and sisters Stella Mae Leonard and Mary Jane Griffin and caregiver Harriet Pierce.
Mr. Badeaux was preceded in death by his parents Albert Badeaux Sr. and Cleophine Leonard Badeaux, brothers Severin, Alphonse "Jim", Johnny, and Albert Badeaux Jr. and sisters Flossie B. LeBlanc and Eleoda Melancon.
He was a WWII Army veteran serving with Company C 151st Infantry Regiment and member of the local VFW. The family would like to thank Dr. Camille Pitre, and the staff of Notre Dame Hospice and Lady of the Sea Home Health for their care and compassion.
