Fred "Papa Smurf" James Stone

Fred “Papa Smurf” James Stone, 72, from Bell California, Luling native and resident of Des Allemands passed away on February 18th 2022.
Visitation will be held at Falgout Funeral Home, in Raceland, on Wednesday, February 23rd from 5 pm until 9 pm.

He’s proceeded in death by his father, Paul U. Stone Sr.; mother, JoAnne Caywood Brown; step-mother, Zell Stone; son, John Paul Stone; three brothers, Thomas Lott, Paul Stone Jr. and William Hammonds and step-son, Tommy Lawrence Stone.
He is survived by his wife, Raelynn; sister, Lillian Stone; brother, Auzie Stone; two daughters, Barbie Stone and Jamie Stone (Eurick); four grandchildren, Dewayne and Taylor Walker, Jaydon and Kayden Reed; step-kids, Carrie Cole and Jamie Toney and two step grandchildren, Tabatha and Ryan Toney. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends and two God kids Mark Gaudet and Rush Carlton.

A special thank you to his two infusion nurses, Ory and Dory.

Mr. Stone was a member of the WBDA for thirty years. He also loved shooting pool and riding his motorcycle. He loved his beloved dog, Duck.
