Franklin D. Callais, 70, a native and resident of Golden Meadow, died at 2:40 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2011.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time today at Lafourche Fellowship Lodge 484. Religious services will be held at noon today at the lodge, with burial at Hebert Cemetery in Galliano.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Joycelyn Ledet Callais; three sons, Timmy Callais Sr. and wife, Melissa, Mark Callais Sr. and wife, Joyce, and Michael Callais Sr. and wife, Rachel; one stepson, Antonio Pequeno and wife, Angela; one stepdaughter, Angelique Cox and husband, De; one brother, Guill Callais Jr.; one sister, Verna Guidroz; and nine grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Guill Callais Sr. and El Rita Callais.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
