Frances Valure Belanger, 89, a native of Houma and resident of Lockport, died at 3:45 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013.
Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. until funeral time Monday at St. Gregory Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
She is survived by her son, LeRoy J. Belanger and wife, Amilie; daughters, Mary B. Bourg and husband, Raymond Jr., Christine B. Latshaw and husband, Ron, and Katherine B. Pepper and husband, Kirk Sr.; sisters, Mary V. Bergeron and Antoinette V. Lirette; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, LeRoy J. Belanger Sr.; parents, Antonio and Nunzia Bongiovanni Filardo Valure; brothers, Sam, Louis, Frank, Ignazio, John and Joseph Valure and Sam and Victor Filardo; and sisters, Lilly F. Trippi, Camilla F. Palmer, Catherine F. Streva and Josephine V. Stringer.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
