Floyd “Pete” LeBoeuf, age 77, a native and resident of Mathews, passed
away at 11:10 a.m., Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 3, 2021, at Falgout Funeral Home
in Raceland, 6:00-9:00 p.m. and Saturday, December 4, at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church, from 9:00 a.m. until a funeral mass celebrating his life at 12:00 p.m. A private burial will be held at a later date.
Pete was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, and a joy to his extended family and friends. As an Army Veteran, he served his country both stateside and in Korea. He was a longtime employee of Bollinger Shipyards, South Coast Sugar, Raceland Raw Sugars, and Southern Guard Services.
An avid LSU fan, Pete enjoyed large gatherings and feeding people his delicious meals, cooking until the end of his life and sharing his recipes. As a hobby, he grew over 150 varieties of lilies and shared the ownership of Allons Manger Catering Company with two good friends. He loved a good laugh and any time spent with him raised everyone’s spirits.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Karen Watts LeBoeuf; his daughter
Celeste LeBoeuf Bourg and husband Sid Bourg; his cherished granddaughter
Cecilia Elise; sisters Mrs. Florence (Roland) Matherne and Mrs. Veronica
(Clayton) Voisin, and by numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Whitney and Thelma Davis
LeBoeuf; by brothers Weldon and Evans; by sisters Mrs. Barbara (Edward)
Davaine and Beverly LeBoeuf.
The family is thankful for Thibodaux Regional Medical Center staff,
especially the CCU and Rehab units, the home health staff of Thibodaux Regional Home Health, Acadian Ambulance, and the local volunteer fire departments.
