Floyd Francis Falgout, Sr. 90, a native and resident of Larose, LA, died on Thursday, September 26, 2013 in Houma, LA.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Falgout Funeral Homes, Galliano, LA and from 9:30 AM until 1:00 PM Monday, September 30, 2013 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Larose. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 PM Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Rena Mae Adams Falgout; sons Floyd Falgout, Jr. and wife Jo-Ann, Frankie Falgout and wife Angela, Melvin Falgout and wife Teresa; daughters, Elizabeth Falgout Plaisance and husband Cameron, Victoria Falgout Griffin and husband Mitchell, Darlene Falgout Richardelle and husband Nicky, Irene Falgout Lombas and husband Mike; sister, Hazel Matherne; half sisters Cheryl Falgout, Genevieve Melancon; half brother Wiley Falgout; 23 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
He was precede in death by his father, Wilkin Falgout; mother, Victoria Melancon; brother Lloyd Falgout; sister Shirley Garibaldi; half brother, Roland Falgout and grandsons Brodie Falgout and Mike Pierce.
He serviced in the U.S. Army, was a parishioner of Lady of the Rosary Church and was a member of the Holy Name Society.
