Floyd Anthony Breaux, age 91, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024. He was a native and resident of Houma (Bayou Black), LA.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Houma on Friday, March 22, 2024, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. with burial following in Bayou Black Cemetery in Houma.
Floyd is survived by his sons, David M. Breaux, and Brian C. Breaux and wife, Dione; daughters, Gail B. Champagne and companion, Ricky Trahan, and Cathy B. Louviere; brother, Norris Breaux, Jr. and wife, Judith; sister, Jeanette B. Usie and husband, Leryes; and 8 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Floyd was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Rita Dupre Breaux; son, Keith A. Breaux; parents, Norris Augustin Sr. and Corinne Marguerite Champagne Breaux; son-in-law, Heath M. Louviere.
Floyd retired from SLECA with 31 years of service from 1956 – 1987. He enjoyed spending time with family, farming, hunting, fishing and working in the fields. He was best known for his field peas “Breaux Peas”.
