Florence Lefort Lasseigne, 86, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Galliano, died Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano, with burial in Cheramie Cemetery.
She is survived by three sons, Alex Jr., Christopher, and Jody Lasseigne; one daughter-in-law, Stella Chiasson Lasseigne; two brothers, Samson Jr. and Leroy Lefort; and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Alex Lasseigne Sr.; her parents, Eusta Bouzigard Lefort and Samson Lefort Sr.; one sister, Mary Lefort; and three brothers, Herman, Ernest, and Pershing Lefort.
She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
