Florence Gaubert

Florence Chauvin Gaubert, 89, a native and resident of Lockport, was born Feb. 21, 1924, and died at 9:05 p.m. Monday, June 17, 2013.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Falgout Funeral Home in Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her children, Sidney Gaubert Jr., Raymond Gaubert Sr. and wife, Theresa, Mathilde G. Cantrelle and husband, Timothy Sr., Sara G. Bonvillian and husband, Jerry Jr. and Ronald Gaubert; sisters, Mae C. Allemand and Elise C. Allemand; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild on the way.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Gaubert Sr.; sons, Baby Ernest and Xavier Gaubert; parents, Xavier Sr. and Mathilde C. Chauvin; brothers, Elmo, Ecklin, Claiborne and Xavier Chauvin Jr.; and sisters, Elnora C. Davis, Clothilda C. Arcement and Francis C. Ougel.
Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
