Felton J. Galiano, 88, a native and resident of Galliano, died Tuesday, June 7, 2011.
Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial in the church mausoleum.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Emilia Perrin Galiano; one son, Steven; three grandchildren, Brandy, Amber and Emily; and three great-grandchildren, Jasmene, Felton and Joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Julien and Euphemie Kief Galiano; one son, Felton Jr.; and one sister, Lillian Guidry.
He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was an Army World War II veteran, a member of Knights of Columbus, a member of the Army Corp of Engineers, vice president of the First Greater Lafourche Port Commission and founder of Galliano Contractors INC in 1971.
