Evelyn "Cecile" Billiot

Evelyn “Cecile” Billiot passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 19, 2020 at the young age of 72. She was a lifelong resident of Houma.
Visitation will be held from 6pm to 9pm on Friday, July 24, 2020 at Falgout Funeral Home of Houma and from 8am until the 11:00Am Prayer Service on Saturday, July 25, 2020 in the chapel. Burial Services to follow at Garden of Memories in Gray, La.

Cecile is survived by her daughter, Tammra Gregoire, and son, Joseph Billiot Jr (Lil Joe) and wife Traci; Her grandchildren who were the loves of her life, Tyler Billiot and wife Brizi, Kayleigh and husband Mac, and Mason Gregoire, Darius (DJ) and Elizabeth Sampson, Carlos Pena. Sisters Doris Billiot and Martha Dean (Ivy), Sister-in-Law Catherine Porche and Former Daughter-in-law Maria Brooks.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Joseph E. Billiot Sr. (Moonie), Her parents Albertine and Joseph Irby Foret, Sisters Mary Verret and Marie Celina Foret, and Godson Raydell Verret.

Mom always had a smile for you. She’d make you laugh with one of her jokes or her funny stories of her and dad. She had a heart of gold. She was always ready to dance. If anyone knew my parents, they knew that they both loved to dance. They could be found on any dance floor wherever Treaters would play. They were both always ready to dance and as kids, we always had music playing in the house.

My dad welcomed her into heaven, ready to dance with the love of his life once more.
