Evelyn Orgeron Adams

Evelyn O. Adams, 79, a native and resident of Lockport, LA was born on November 26, 1943 and passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2023.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at American Legion Post 83 at 921 Veterans St., Lockport, LA.
She is survived by her sons, Allen (wife Denise), Robert (special friend Sherry); grandchildren, Danny (wife Candy), Bruce and Courtney (husband Freddy); her great grandchild, Alivia, along with many nieces and nephews and friends.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, James; parents, Norman and Nora Orgeron; siblings, Irvin, Doris, Joseph and Rowena.
Evelyn loved music and dancing, which she got from her dad. She had a big sweet tooth, which is probably why she made the best poppy seed cake. She worked in home health for over 27 years, then went into private sitting. She enjoyed caring for and talking with people. She loved spending time with her family and friends and will be deeply missed.
