Eunice Kellum Chaisson began her journey to heaven on February 9, 2017. Eunice was born in Linden, Texas on July 23, 1923, and was a resident of Houma.
Eunice was preceded in death by her husband, Vallirie Julian "Johnny" Chaisson; parents, Homer and Annie Blackwell Kellum; 7 sisters, Carrie Kellum (infant), Pearl McDuffie and husband, Bill, Opal Washington and husband, Vernon, Inez Henderson and husband, Earl, Iwanna Riddle and husband, Linden, and Jean Miller and husband, Clifford; 3 brothers, Wilson Homer Kellum, Samuel Kellum, and Thomas Kellum; and daughter-in-laws, Cathleen Baker Chaisson and Janet Riche Chaisson.
Eunice is survived by her 4 sons, Ronald Jon Chaisson, Michael James Chaisson, Daniel Ray Chaisson, and Randel Thomas Chaisson and wife, Vickie Lirette Chaisson; 4 grandchildren, Challie Debossier, Ron Chaisson, Alexis Chaisson, and Kate Chaisson; and 2 great-grandchildren, Lucy DeBossier and Benjamin DeBossier.
Visitation will be held from 6 PM until 9 PM on Sunday, February 12 at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma and from 9 AM until service time on Monday, February 13 at St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 AM on Monday at St. Bernadette with burial to follow at St. Francis de Sales cemetery II.
