Euclide Harris Danos Jr.,92, a native and resident of Raceland, La passed away on December 31, 2024.
He is survived by his son, Gralyn Danos (Carolyn); daughter, Mary Champagne (Ralph); stepson, James Callahan (Penny); stepdaughter, Marie Schwertz (Michael); grandchildren, Kelly Danos, Marcie Richoux, Blake Champagne, John Danos; 6 step grandchildren; great grandchildren, Cody Danos, Chelsea Danos, Chance Danos Sr., Rowen Richoux, Cammie Richoux, Brayli Champagne, Lakyn Champagne, Oakley Champagne, Harper Danos, Zander Danos; 8 step great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren, Breanna Danos, Angelisa Danos, Chance Danos Jr. and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Phil Danos; grandchild, Jody Danos; his first wife, Laura Savoie Danos; his second wife, Elsie Danos; his parents, Euclide and Clara Danos; siblings, Gertie Zeringue, Clarence Danos, Norman Danos, Norris Danos and Nolan Danos.
He was a devoted volunteer for St. Mary’s Sauce Piquante Festival, he also formed The Lafourche Green Trout & Hunting Club. He worked at Avondale Shipyards for 30 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and he loved to garden.
Visitation will be held at Falgout Funeral Home, of Raceland, on Friday, January 3, 2025, from 6pm until 9pm and will continue on Saturday January 4, 2025, at St. Mary Nativity Community Center from 9am until service time. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11am with burial to follow at St. Mary Cemetery.
