Etienne "Fotch" Pitre, a native of Galliano and a resident of Galliano/Golden Meadow, was born Oct. 25, 1916 and died Oct. 30, 2012.
Visitation was held from 1 p.m. till funeral time, 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, 2012 at Our Lady Of Prompt Succor catholic Church. Burial followed in the Cheramie Cemetery.
He is survived by her daughters, Elaine Alario and husband Terry Alario, Julia Leday and husband Donald "Cheese" Leday; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 74 years, Yvonne Williams Pitre; parents, Duard and Blanche Charpentier Pitre; daughters, Kathleen Lee and Carrie Lou Chatagnir; brothers, Gilbert Pitre; sisters, Bella Brunet, Blaze Winfrie, Aline Plaisance;
and one grandchild.
He was a Catholic.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
