Ethel Parks Savoie

Ethel P. Savoie, 90, a native and resident of Paradis passed away on Friday, March 29, 2019.

Visitation will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 2nd from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery.

Mrs. Savoie is survived by her son, Eldon (Marie) Savoie, II; daughters, Charleene (John) Hodge, Cherry Dyer, Crystal (Mitchell) Donnaud, Carla (Pete) Crochet, Camille (Marcus) Litton and Colleen (Donn) Lirette; brothers, Venis Parks, Terry Parks and Gary Parks; 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Savoie was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon J. Savoie; parents, Ernest and Edna Folse Parks; son, Herbert Savoie; brothers, Raymond Parks and Wilmer Parks; sister, Velma Dufrene.

Mrs. Savoie started her career at National Linen Service; she was employed at United States Post Office from 1978 – 1990 in Paradis. She retired in 1990 as Postmaster from 1986-1990.
