Ethel R. Guidry Cheramie McNabb, 90, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Ethel was born on February 8, 1928 in Cutoff, LA. She was proceeded in death by her first husband Houston J. Cheramie, Sr and her second husband William McNabb, Sr. She was a resident of Mandeville, LA but spent the many years in Robinson, Illinois and Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. She was the loving mother of Houston J. Cheramie (Mary) and Mary Lee Cheramie Boynes (the late Clinton J. Boynes, Jr.). Grandmother of Cheramie Boynes Kerth (Kenny), Angela Boynes Bertheaud (Rene), and Clinton Joseph Boynes, III (Tara), Samson Cheramie (Yvette), Jeffrey Cheramie (Gwen). Survived by sister Jennie Lee (Jan) Reding. Preceded in death by parents Ellis and Melodia Guidry. Sisters Irene Guidry, Meta Cheramie, Marcella (La La) Griffin. Brothers Elden Guidry, Elmo Guidry Sr. and Bob Guidry. Also survived and fondly remembered by many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She loved her dogs/pets so much. She was a proud owner of her Pet Store in Robinson, Illinois. Ethel enjoyed Mardi Gras and was crowned Queen of the Krewe of Juno. Our family would like to thank Passages Hospice for their support in these last few months. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a mass to be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off, LA on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 11:00a.m. and Visitation will begin at 10:00a.m. in the church. She will be laid to rest at the Sacred Heart Mausoleum.
