Essay B. Thibodaux, 89, a native and resident of Lockport, died at 8:59 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2013.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Falgout Funeral Home in Lockport, and from 9 a.m. until funeral time Monday at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Perlie A. Thibodaux; sons, Essey Thibodaux, Hillary "Ray" (Anne) Thibodeaux and Gary (Cindy) Thibodaux; daughter, Mona (Phil Roddy) Rogers; sister, Bessie Orgeron; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Irma Rogers Thibodaux; daughter-in-law, Linda K. Thibodaux; brother, Edward Thibodaux; sisters, Loridia Orgeron, Nora Orgeron, Lillian Robichaux, Ella Mae Guidry, Alexandrian Knight and Alexina Adams; and two grandchildren.
Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
