Ernest Anthony Breaux, 86, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024. He was a native and resident of Bayou Black (Houma), LA.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, beginning at 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at St. Bernadette Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. with burial following in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Gray, LA.
Ernest is survived by his daughters, Christy R. LeBlanc and husband, Keith, and Denise B. Dryden and husband, Alphonse “Fletcher”; sisters, Mary Lee Rhodes, and Gail Dardar and husband, Jerry; sister-in-law, Judy Breaux; 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Ernest was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Christine Ann Seaholm Breaux; parents, Charles Ellis Breaux and Adrina Marie Klingman Breaux; brothers, Charles, Jr. (Wilma), David (Jackie), Jules (Pat), Philip (Trudy), and Henry Breaux; sisters, Genieve Portier (Hayes), Norma “Pookie” Duplantis (Thaddeus “Bud”), Adrina Leonard (Norman “Tookie”) and Rose Pinel (Edward); brother-in-law, Roy Rhodes; and great-great-grandchild, Ellie Grace Dryden.
Ernest served in the US Army. He worked for Patterson Truckline (Rollins Truckline) for 35 years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
