Emilie Baudoin Chauvin, 82, a native of Raceland and resident of Cut Off, died at 10:15 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2012.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at St. Hilary Catholic Church in Mathews. Mass will be held at noon Tuesday at the church, with burial at St. Mary Cemetery in Raceland.
She is survived by her husband, Malcolm Joseph Chauvin; five sons, Larry Chauvin and wife, Randy, Donald Chauvin and fiancee, Sandra Toups, Thomas Chauvin, Gary Chauvin and Kevin Chauvin; two daughters, Ramona Chauvin and husband, Steve Head, and Phyllis Champagne and husband, Gary Jr.; brother, Conrad Boudoin; three half brothers, Nicky, Teddy, and Kearney Baudoin; two sisters, Ella Mae Bernard and Miriam Hartman; and 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Merille and Eve Baudoin; raised by Zoe Matherne; daughter, Victoria Chauvin; brother, Francis Baudoin; and three sisters, Noella Melancon, Gertrude Sampey and beloved twin sister, Emma Jeanne Zeringue.
