Emile J. Polkey, 82, a native and resident of Galliano passed away April 27, 2016. Visitation will take place at Falgout Funeral Home of Galliano from 9:00 am till service time. Funeral Services will be held in the funeral home parlor beginning at 1:00 pm with burial following in Cheramie Cemetery.
Mr. Emile is survived by his children Gary Polkey (Joyce), Troy Polkey (Roxey), and Denise P. Plaisance (Randy), and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Mr. Polkey was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years Juanita Collins Polkey, parents Emile L. Polkey and Jeanne L. Polkey, brothers Harold Polkey, and sisters Shirley Penouilh.
He was a produce salesman for 56 years, and a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great great grandfather, read the Bible everyday he was able to, and was always willing to help anyone in need.
