Emelia Smith Rebstock

Emelia “Meya” Rebstock, 88, a native and resident of Galliano passed away on Saturday, August 17th, 2024.

 Mrs. Emelia is survived by her children: Toby Rebstock (Celeste) and Todd Rebstock (Peggy); grandchildren: Kristy Rebstock, Chelsea Pregeant (Brock), Amber Rebstock (Thomas Pitre IV), Jessica Schexnayder, and Katie Deroche (Brady); great grandchildren: Kobe and Ally Arceneaux, Emmie Rebstock, Lola Pregeant, baby Pregeant, Kami, Kimi, Kate, Keni, and Tomi Pitre, Addison Schexnayder, Jane and Brooks Deroche; brother: Russell Smith; and sisters: Dolores Curole, Janet Triche (Collin), Rosita Triche (Clarence).

 Mrs. Rebstock was preceded in death by her husband: Roger “Jay” Rebstock; grandson: Jake Rebstock; parents: Preslich and Lionelle D. Smith; brothers: Colin Smith and Weston Smith; sisters: Thelma Galjour and Alma Adams; and brothers-in-law: Wilman Curole, Wilton Adams, and René Galjour; and sisters-in-law: Doris Smith and Mary Louise Smith.

 She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

The family would like to thank Heart of Hospice for their care and compassion provided to Mrs. Emelia.

 Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, August 23rd, 2024 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow from 9:00 am until service time. Her Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 am with procession following to her burial in Cheramie Cemetery.
