Emelda Ledet St. Pierre, 88, a native and resident of Larose, died on Monday, Sept. 17, 2012.
A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until funeral time; 12 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Larose. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her son's; Leonard St. Pierre and wife Sandy, Willie St. Pierre, Jr. and wife Penny, daughter's; Iris Milligan and husband Aubrey, Katherine Joerg and husband Eric, 10 grandchildren; Christopher St. Pierre and wife Catherine, Ben St. Pierre and wife Jessica, Petrina LeBlanc and husband Ryan, Rudy Milligan and wife Katie, Lauren Joerg, Gregory Joerg, Ashleigh Blackwelder and husband Nathan, Jasiah St. Pierre, Miranda St. Pierre, Renee Prejean and husband Chris, 10 great-grandchildren; Josie, Kaylie, Carter, Charles, Christian, Rebecca, Amelia, Annabell, Neil, Aiden, and one sister; Melvina Hunter.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Willie St. Pierre, parents; Sylves and Eliza Ledet, brothers; Joseph, Dudley, and Peter Ledet, and one sister; Ruth Richard.
She was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society. She led a full and beautiful life with a love for life, family and church.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Michael Marcello, Dr. Alvin Timothy, Dr. Tommy Fudge, Father John and the staff of Thibodaux Regional Medical Center for their dedication and care. In lieu of flowers donations to Holy Rosary School.
