Emelda A. Dufrene, 90, a native of Larose and resident of Cut Off passed away Jan. 31, 2016. Visitation will take place on Feb. 5, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Cut Off from 10 am till service time. Funeral Mass will begin at 12 noon with burial following in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Emelda is survived by her daughter Dianne Dufrene Loupe husband Danny, sons Weldon J. Dufrene wife Melissa, Terry J. Dufrene wife Heidi, and Tommy P. Dufrene wife Rebecca, 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Mrs. Dufrene was preceded in death by her husband Cestive "Shoe-Me" Dufrene, parents Albert Adams Sr and Emelie Pregeant Adams, brothers Albert Jr., Norman, Wildess, Clifton, and Early Adams, and sisters Mathlida Adams Matherne, Winnie Adams Gisclair, and Earline Adams Naquin.
She was a member of the Cathloic Daughters in Cut Off and retired from the Lafourche Parish School Board after 22 years.
