Emelda "Doll" G. Cheramie, 84, a native and resident of Galliano passed away Dec. 13, 2016. Visitation will take place at St. Joseph's Catholic Church on Friday Dec. 16, 2016 from 9 am until service time. Funeral Mass will begin at 11 am with burial following in Cheramie Cemetery.
Mrs. Emelda is survived by her son Richard Cheramie, grandchildren Craig Cheramie, Magen Cheramie, Cherie Cheramie, and Denise Cheramie, four great grandchildren, and sister Hattie St. Pierre
Mrs. Cheramie was preceded in death by her husband John J. Cheramie, son Dennis Cheramie, parents Samjean and Soliska C. Gisclair, siblings Valcin Gisclair, Melva Autin, Larry Gisclair, Sam Gisclair, and Mary Ann Griffin.
