Elsie S. Danos, age 94, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017.
Visitation will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Thursday, September 14, 2017, from 9:00 am until service time. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the church starting at 11:00 am with burial to follow in Sunset Cemetery.
Elsie is survived by her children, Carolyn D. Matherne, Judy D. Stumpf, Norman Anthony Danos, Jr.; brother, Ronald Schexnaydre; sister, Lucille Compton; 6 grandchildren, Ron Matherne, Monique Matherne, Troy Stumpf, Heather Stumpf, Alyssa Danos, Hayley Danos and 6 great grandchildren, Scott Matherne, Jr., Mignon Matherne, Tristan Matherne, Lacyn Touchard, Lexxus Touchard and Livie Touchard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman "Pat" Anthony Danos, Sr.; parents, Amedee and Edmee Schexnaydre; brothers, George "Pat" Schexnaydre, Amedee "Bro" Schexnaydre, Jr.; sisters, Majorie Lummen, Edmee "Sis" Blistine, Mary Francis "Boostie" Nichols; grandson, Scott Matherne, Sr. and son-in-law, Arthur G. Stumpf.
Elsie was a lifelong employee at St. Anne Hospital in Raceland.
