Eloise Foret Babin

Eloise Foret Babin, 83, a native and resident of Raceland, LA, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024.

Eloise was a woman of great faith, always putting her full trust in God. She will be remembered for her deep love for family and a generous spirit, without any need for recognition. She was especially proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was always involved in their lives and activities.

 Her legacy of love and devotion will forever live on in those she leaves behind.

 Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at St. Hilary Catholic Church, Raceland, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

 She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Gerald Babin Sr.; children, Gerald Babin Jr., Mary Duplantis (David), Madonna Viguerie (Stephen), Todd Babin, and Shaun Babin (Tina); grandchildren, Sarah Ellison (Garrett), Joshua Babin, Tyler Duplantis (Jessica), Kaley Sanders (Dillon), Ryan Duplantis (Shelby), Jacob Duplantis, James Viguerie (Lauren), Erin Viguerie, Luke Viguerie, Trey Babin, Carson Babin; 9 great grandchildren; and brothers, Leroy and Ernest Foret.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Sr. and Maria Foret, brothers Wilfred Sr., Joseph Jr., and Fergus Foret, and sisters Rita Grabert and Velma Foret.
