Elma Landry Theriot, passed away of old age peacefully in her sleep on October 21, 2023 at the age of 92. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her. Elma loved her family more than life itself and was always ready to spoil them. She was a good friend to everyone and never met a stranger. She always had a funny story to tell and enjoyed making people laugh. She enjoyed cooking for her family, gardening, and crocheting. She could often be found listening and dancing to old country music.
Elma was a life-long resident of Louisiana. Born in Belle Rose, she moved to New Orleans after getting married and eventually settled down in Larose. She spent many years working in the medical field and loved to help people in any way she could.
Her last 6 years were spent living at Golden Age Nursing home in Denham Springs where she loved the staff and enjoyed many activities. She was an angel to many there as she was always crocheting pairs of slippers for the staff and residents. She was one of their favorite residents and will be missed.
She is survived by her daughter Kim Theriot Rounsaville, her grandchildren Seth Rounsaville (Renee), Courtney Rounsaville Griggs (Charles), Genesis Theriot and Adam Theriot.
