Elma Hartman Griffin, 82, a native and resident of Gheens passed away on Friday, October 3, 2014.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6, 2014 at Falgout Funeral Home in Lockport from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Gheens from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in Holy Savior Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughters, Barbara G. Dufrene, Lori G. Robichaux and husband Glenn; brothers, Nolan Hartman, Roy Hartman, George Hartman, Rayford Hartman; sister, Eulah H. Blank; sister-in-law, Marie Loupe; grandchildren, Ramsey Keller and wife Marcie, Destry Dufrene and wife Cassie, Glenn Robichaux, Jr. and wife Ashleigh; Bryce Robichaux and fiancé Abagail Proffitt; great grandchildren, Kyra Keller, Leilah Keller, Ramsie Keller, Remly Dufrene.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Richard Griffin; daughter, Cheryl G. Keller; granddaughter, Mallory A. Keller; mother, Aline Matherne Hartman; father, George Hartman; mother-in-law, Viloa Griffin; father-in-law, Edmond Griffin; sisters, Elizabeth Elliot, Velma Burke; brother, Woodrow Hartman; son-in-law, Clarence "Nuch" Dufrene.

For over 60 years she was a caretaker of St. Anthony Catholic Church. She was a member of the St. Anthony Ladies Alter Society, board member of the Vacherie Gheens Senior Citizens Center, dedicated cook for Vacherie Gheens Volunteer Fire Department, volunteer and cook at Vacherie Gheens Community Center. She was the Vacherie Gheens Babysitter.
