Ellis J. Bourgeois Sr.,69, a native of Bayou Gauche and resident of Green Acres, died at 10:50 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2013.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Monday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Paradis. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in St. Gertrude Cemetery in Des Allemands.
He is survived by his wife, Carol S. Bourgeois; sons, Ellis (Lana) Bourgeois Jr. and Cody (Sonia) Bourgeois; brothers, Kirk, Doyle, Norbert and Rowdy Bourgeois; sisters Sybil Kaiser and Patricia Franchebois; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norbert and Nora Bourgeois; and sister, Sharlene Davis.
Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
