Elecia Callais Griffin, 92, passed away Friday, Jan. 11, 2013.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at Our Lady Of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by her daughters, Joann G. Kauffman and Patsy G. Badeaux; grandchildren Alicia K. Sins, Scott A. Badeaux and Albert "Buddy" Kauffman; and great-grandchildren, Billy Joseph Comeaux Jr, Jordan Scaife, Josh Scaife and Cameron A. Badeaux.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. Griffin; parents, Paul and Irma Callais; brothers and sisters, Helen C. Martin, Paul Callais, Rosuluse LuLu Callais, Lorris Callais, Lorisia C. Gautreaux, Hecton Callais, Elizabeth C. Styron and Roy Callais.
Mrs. Griffin was a member of the Ladies of LaSalette, the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary. Her hobby was her family, and she loved children and the church. She was an avid parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church, and she had a heart of pure love.
