Eleanor Seal Travirca, a native of Independence, LA and resident of Lockport, LA passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024, age 77.
Visitation will be held at Falgout Funeral Home in Lockport, LA on Monday, April 15th from 5 pm until 9 pm and will continue on Tuesday from 8:30 am until 11 am. Funeral services will be held at 11 am with burial to follow in Holy Savior Cemetery.
Eleanor is survived by her sons, Allen Sr. (Charlotte), Forrest IV (Christina), Timothy; grandchildren, Allen Jr. (Angie), Shelbi (Ernest), Casey (Jobe), Ethan, Emma, Ryan (Heath), Tessie (Dexter); great grandchildren, Adin, Carla, Barry, Olivia, Melody, Madison and two more boys on the way; brothers, Jessie (Linda) Seal, Henry “Dolan” (Rosalie) Seal; sisters, Irma Wilson and Bonnie (Gary) Dupre and fur baby Beaux Jangels.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Anthony Travirca III; her parents, Hiram and Etta Seal; brothers, Willie Seal and infant William Seal; sisters, Connie Arbour and Mary Seal.
Eleanor was involved in Boy Scout Troop 332 for many years where she received the Silver Beaver Award. She was a life member of the American Legion Aux Unit 513; she served as 3rd District President, Poppy Chairman and Community Service Chairman.
She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was called Maw and Mom by many of those who loved her. The family would like to thank the staff of TGMC, Divinity Home Health, Hope Hospice, and Dr. Craig Wade for their great care throughout the years.
