Eleanor Watler Landry, 87, a native of Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands and resident of Houma, died at 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Gary Landry of Houma and Dale Landry of Monroe; daughters, Judy Walker and husband, Del, of Spring Branch, Texas, Donna Lambert and husband, Peter, of Montegut, Karen Rodriguez and husband, Lance, of Houma, and Lauri Henry of New Oreans; brothers, Melbourne and Charles Watler of Grand Cayman; sisters, Evangeline Moler of Texas, Hyacinth Solakha of New Jersey, and Halceyone Loukmas of Florida; grandchildren, Tamara Davidson, Timothy Walker, Brandon and Beau Lambert, Paul Domangue, Vickie Vilcan, Ginny Prejean, Lindsey Talbot, Seth Rodriguez, Kasey Harrington, Kristin Ellis and Kayla Lachney; and great-grandchildren, Jordan, Avery, Hailley, Carson, Braylon, Chance, Lucy, Ethan, Ellie, Caden and Lauryn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Doffey Landry; parents, Lanaman and Jane Catherine Watler; grandchild, Amy Kaye Landry; brothers, Ellsworth, Keithbourne, and Stacey Watler; and sister, Varley Henning.
She was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. She was a devoted homemaker, a wonderful mother, and a loving grandmother and sister. She will be sadly missed by her family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Houma's First Adaptive Park c/o South Louisiana Bank in care of her great-grandson's Carson and Braylon.
