Edward J. Waguespack

October 13, 1918 — April 8, 2011

Edward J. Waguespack, a native of Raceland and a resident of Cut Off, passed away at 2:15 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2011 in Jarreau.

Relatives and friends of the family and employees of Westside Transit, Union Pacific and Southern Pacific Railroad and Coastal Marine Equipment are invited to attend the funeral. Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Tuesday at Falgout Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Larose. Mass will be held at noon Wednesday at the church, with interment at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Larose.

He was the beloved husband of the late Angelina Danos Waguespack; father of Michael Waguespack and companion, Pamela Thorton, Ralph Waguespack and wife, Diana and the late Edward Waguespack; grandfather of Kim Blankley, Aaron Waguespack, Tracey Waguespack and Troy Waguespack; great-grandfather of Skylar Blankley and Taylor Waguespack; son of the late Eusebe and Hermine Babin Waguespack; and brother of the late Neil Waguespack, Murphy Waguespack, Miller Waguespack, Earline Madere and Cecile Hazelbaker.

He was a member of the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1400 and a World War II Navy veteran. He was in the 73rd Seabees Construction Battalion.
